My name is Dr. Phil Blustein and I have been a medical doctor for over 30 years. Stress is one of the biggest factors in both causing and aggravating illness. I wanted to create a teaching website that would provide free access to the stress-management techniques that my patients so desperately needed to get well, but I knew I couldn’t go it alone so…
I began collaborating with the expert movie producer Ron Ames, talented director Isaiah Seret and wonderful children’s storyteller Michael Katz. Together we created THE BREATH PROJECT.
The Breath Project offers you multiple resources to deal with stress including exercises, demonstrations, readings and videos. There’s even a free ebook called Mindfulness Medication, to help you tie it all together.
We started with a beautiful, interesting, animated introduction to the mind, mindfulness and meditation. Then we went searching for some gifted teachers of stress relief, mindfulness, meditation, breathing and body scanning techniques. You’ll see their live video lessons here. These mindfulness teachers generously offered their time and expertise to the project and that is rare, wonderful and truly appreciated.
We’re constantly looking to bring you the latest and greatest tips, tricks and techniques for beating stress. We are working on new video presentations and stress relieving techniques that will be uploaded regularly to the site, so keep checking back to see what’s new.
